Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Ratings Rocket is run by Made 4 Tradies Pty Ltd (ABN 59 660 678 280), "we" or "us". It helps Australian trade businesses ask their customers for Google reviews. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy covers two groups of people: the tradies who use Ratings Rocket (our customers), and the tradies' own customers who receive a review request.
2. What we collect
If you run a business that uses Ratings Rocket
- Your name, email address, mobile number and log-in details.
- Your business name, trade, Google listing, logo and brand colours.
- Billing details. Card numbers go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them. We keep the plan you are on and your payment status.
- Settings you choose, such as message wording, sending hours and connected tools like ServiceM8.
- How you use the website and dashboard, such as pages visited and buttons clicked.
If a business has asked you for a review
- The details the business gives us so we can send the request: your first name and your mobile number or email address. If the business connects a job or accounting system such as ServiceM8 or Xero, we receive these from it.
- What you choose to tell us on the review page: your star rating, any comment, and your name and contact details if you enter them.
- Technical details recorded when you open the review page: the type of device, browser details and IP address. We use these to stop fake or duplicate reviews.
- Whether you clicked through to Google, and whether a matching review later appeared there.
- Whether you asked us to stop sending you messages.
The review page your customers see has no analytics or advertising trackers.
3. Why we use it
- To send review requests and reminders on the business's behalf, and to show the business its results.
- To pass private feedback to the business so it can fix a problem.
- To run your account, take payments and send you service emails, such as trial and billing notices.
- To draft suggested replies to reviews, which the business can edit before posting.
- To keep the service secure, stop misuse and meet our legal obligations, including the Spam Act 2003.
- To understand how Ratings Rocket is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use a business's customer list for our own marketing.
4. Text messages, emails and opting out
- Every text message names the business it comes from and says how to opt out by replying STOP.
- A STOP reply is recorded straight away, and that number gets no more messages from that business.
- Any other reply to a text is passed on to the business that texted you, by email, with your name and number.
- Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Businesses must only send requests to people they have done work for, as our Terms of Service require.
5. Who we share it with, and where
We use the service providers below to run Ratings Rocket. They handle personal information only to provide their service to us. Some of them store or process it outside Australia, in the countries listed.

Our main database is hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia. Review text and the reviewer's first name are sent to Google to draft suggested replies.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a business that buys Ratings Rocket, which would have to follow this policy.
6. How we keep it safe
- Information is encrypted when it travels between your device and our servers.
- Each business can only see its own customers and reviews.
- Access keys for connected tools, such as ServiceM8 and Xero, are stored encrypted.
- Only people who need access to run the service have it.
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
7. How long we keep it
- While your account is active, we keep your information so the service works and your reports stay complete.
- If a free trial ends without a paid plan, we remove customers' names and contact details 90 days after the trial ends. Ratings and totals are kept without names.
- A business can delete any customer's details from its dashboard at any time.
- We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires.
8. Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email us using the details below. We will reply within 30 days and will not charge you for asking.
If a business asked you for a review, you can also contact that business directly. They can update or delete your details in Ratings Rocket.
9. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email us first and tell us what happened. We will look into it and reply in writing within 30 days.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
